Itinerary description

I started this slightly longer walking loop at the James Biggart Roundabout at the corner of Milford Main Road and Shrivan Road at 11.1559N & - 60.8002W. Continue walking north along Shirvan Road but be mindful that this roadway had limited areas with sidewalks. You’d be walking along with dense traffic and unusually carefree drivers.
Walk west along Buccoo Main Road at 11.1816N & - 60.8004W. You follow this road to the Buccoo Boardwalk at 11.1813N & - 60.8072W and the Buccoo Jetty at 11.1809N & - 60.8080W. There is Reef Tours, Jet Ski Rentals, Horse Back Riding, and a lot of other activities in this area. Be aware that there are a lot of touts in this area and they will try to pressure you into buying reef boat tickets and other things.
Walk back the way you came and turn left at 11.1816N & - 60.8004W heading north along Shirvan Road through the Mt. Irvine Golf Course. A stop is recommended at Grange Bay located at 11.1870N & - 60.7973W. There are no beach facilities or lifeguards on this beach and most of the time the waves are rough, so exercise caution if you go swimming.
Continue walking along Shirvan Road and it’s worth making a stop at Mt. Irvine Beach at 11.1947N & - 60.7955W. There are lifeguards, shower and change rooms, picnic huts, a beach bar, and restaurants at this beach facility. This beach sometimes has stray dogs so be careful as they can be aggressive.
Continue walking along Shirvan Road and make a stop at Back Bay. This is located at 11.1980N & - 60.7928W. The dirt parking lot is unmarked, so you’d miss it if you’re not looking. There’s a short but steep walk down to the beach on stairs cut out of the dirt. This makes it challenging to traverse after rainfall. There are three stretches of beaches here separated by rocks that can be easily navigated.
When you leave Back Bay continue along Shirvan Road and take the Old Grafton Road at 11.2015N & - 60.7900W. Make a stop at Stonehaven Beach at 11.2019N & - 60.7877W and explore this very long stretch of beach. Three hotels lie on the opposite side of this stretch of beach.
You’d want to take Fort Bennett Road at 11.2044N & - 60.7820W and follow it to historical Fort Bennett. The fort is located at 11.2073N & - 60.7856W and there’s no admission charge. There are only two cannons at this small fort but there are lots of good views of Stonehaven Beach. You can walk down a short staircase at 11.2078N & - 60.7850W onto Great Courland Bay. This is one very long stretch of beach that can be explored.
Walk back along Fort Bennett Road and at 11.2044N & - 60.7820W you would turn left onto the Old Grafton Road. At 11.2043N & - 60.7816W turn right onto Shirvan Road and follow back to the starting point in any way you like.
NOTE: These beaches are active turtle nesting areas between March 1st and August 31st annually. Please stay away from turtle nests on these beaches during this time. There are severe penalties for anyone found in infringement of this.

The walking trail is good.. The beaches are lovely but there is a lack of sidewalks on many of the roadways in Tobago...
