Itinerary description
You go down for the first two kilometers or so, then mainly flat.
You always have a sidewalk at one side of the road, usually on the left.
Tree branches hang sometimes a bit too low on the sidewalk.
The last part, the last few kilometers before Ambleside, is really nice because you run close to the lake.
The road was quite busy already at 7am.
It'd be about 14K if you wanted to go from Windermere to Grasmere.
There are frequent buses from Ambleside back to Windermere. From Grasmere, they're not so frequent.
