Itinerary description
The first part of the loop, from Yungay to Chacas and further to Acochaca is tarred and in very good condition. From Acochaca it’s just gravel road. The first part of the gravel road until Yanama is the worst part. The Road 106 it’s a nice gravel road in very good condition.
If you want to sleep overnight, a good camping opportunity is Andes Lodge in Yanama.
