Itinerary description

Beautiful sunny day of September
We (me and my hiking partner Marc) arrived on Friday evening before sunset and we made the approach to the Santanoni range and more specifically to the lean to campsite Bradley Pond area (7km roughly 4,4miles in less than two hours). The approach is divided in two parts. The first one is basically a dirt road till the river. Second part is a large and cleared trail easy to follow and revamped by the maintenance team (mostly volunteers) of the ADK park till the Brand new bridge. After the bridge the trail a little bit harder but still easy to follow till you arrive to the Lean to area. Lots of folks were there in there own Tents and Hammocks. We slept with a group of 3 at the Duck Hole Lean to.
There’s fire Pitts and a little stream to get fresh water.
We had a Beautiful cleared sky during the night, perfect for star spotting.

Next day, We hike to Time square jonction and then we first attacked Couchie, thinking it was supposed to be the hardest to get among the 3 of them, but finally it happens to be easier than the Santanoni peak for us despite the big and deep bog of mud often present in the area. Actually Santanoni Trail was Narrower and longer than the one on Couch!!. There was also a lot of boulders to climb on the Santanoni trail and on Panther. Finally going back to the Time square jonction we finished with the shortest from the split, Panther Summit which was the cherry over the Sunday. ;)
