Itinerary description
This hike on Muuido Island takes you from the Hanagae Beach to the peak of Horyonggoksan Mountain and back. You climb up stairs most of the way for a great 180 degree panorama og Hanagae Beach below. The descent is slightly more challenging with rocks replacing stairs. At the top you have the option of extending the walk either down to tiny Sumuuido Island or a wider arch back to Hanagae. Back at Hanagae Beach you will find parking, restaurants and a convenience store. And of course the beach for swimming in the summer. Hanagae is about 1 hr 15 by car from central Seoul.
