Itinerary description
A sporty hike alternating agri tracks, valley crossing and villages. We hesitated at the start but did not regret. Nice views over Saanine mountain.
Hiking shoes required. Hiking poles recommended.

Hi Olivier. I’ve been looking for some good trails for running around Bekfaya for when I visit Leb soon. This looks like a good loop. Would you recommend it? Is it all trails or did you have to do asphalt too? Thanks!!!
Hi Tony, I recommend it. There are two short sections on asphalt but no traffic. Small notes: (a) at the 7th way point "Name nice but dirty water", which is a small wooden bridge passing over the wadi, you are going up towards the monastery. At some point, I tried a short cut towards the building on your right instead of continuing straight around the buildings. Do not follow me. Stay on the marked track. (b) after the monastery, a bit difficult to find the track as nature is back. You have to take the stairs on your left that are pointing towards the forest and then find your way up until the track is cleared. It is about 250 m of adventure. Enjoy!

Hi Georges, if I recall well there were some farms on the way with dogs but they were leashed.
