Itinerary description
This is one of the 10 trails developed by the Fastnet Trails Walk Group in the area of Ballydehop, Schull and Aughadown.
It is a walk along quiet tar roads with wonderful views in all directions.
It starts from the parking place right in front of Saint Comghall's Church, Lisheen.
On this walk you will arrive at the point where the river Illen meets the Atlantic and this spot has a beautifully situated picknicktable.
The walk goes up and down and in the end you will realize that you have done about 150 heighth metres.
The reward of the last climb after you have reached the last 700 metres of the walk to the starting point is the amazing view over Roaringwater Bay and its surroundings.
