Itinerary description
Starting near Kelso Abbey, cross River Tweed, then nice flat walk alongside River Teviot. Return along disused railway. Roadside paths for 1km in + out of Kelso, plus blocked route through housing estate near end of walk. Otherwise good country tracks with lovely views. Easy to follow. Alternatives to recorded route at Roxburgh village:
1. Stay on Teviot road to the hill top, to join old rail viaduct over the river, or
2. Steep scramble up embankment onto the viaduct from riverside.
Either option will save 10 minutes on my route.

Easy to follow
Scenery

Nice riverside walk which was great for my dog as most of the walk could be done off lead, luckily the weather was dry. This may be a lot muddier in wetter weather. Lots of wildlife along the way unfortunately I didn’t see any otters
