Itinerary description
An easy but very rewarding hike. The trail takes you through a lava field along a beautiful shoreline that offers you stunning views and lively bird life.
Usually people walk this trail out and back but I had someone to pick me up at Arnarstapi as he didn’t feel like doing this hike.
I’ve done it before and think the perfect setup is to walk from Arnarstapi to Hellnar. Then take a break at the lovely café down by the sea at Hellnar and then walk back to Arnarstapi (the café is umfortunately only open in summer).
