Itinerary description
A hike over to Arkon Lake within Frontenac Provincial Park from the Arab Lake parking area. We started and finished our hike on the road (maybe 400 meters each) there is a corridor trail that parallels the road if you prefer.
A scenic area, rolling terrain, lots of trees, lakes, streams and beaver dams. A variety of small wildlife, some evidence of deer.
The hike can be shortened by 2-3 kilometers if you take the Bufflehead Trail which is one of our favourites (see separate listing). I've included waypoints on the east and west side where the trails intersect.
A nice hike in a great park.
