Itinerary description
*** This hike is only 10.7km long. It is recorded as longer on wikiloc because I forgot to end the recording when I was in a taxi going back to Sai Kung town ***
This is a great hike for anyone who likes waterfall scrambling in the hot months.
Sai Wan pavilion to Sai Wan beach. Take an optional detour to see the viewpoint over Tai Long Wan beach and Sharp peak. The retrace steps to Sai Wan beach and head up Double Deer stream. Swim and dive at the popular cliff-jump pool, there are usually many people here on a hot day. Leave the crowds behind and continue up the stream (some scrambling) all the way to the next footpath, which crosses the stream. Turn right on the footpath and then follow it uphill to the west heading over the gap between the hills. After the high point, start descending on the other side and look out for the entrance to Qiu Feng stream. Scramble down the stream to the dam. Take the last section of easy footpath down to the road (near Lady MacLehose holiday village).
