Itinerary description
Cromwell Valley Park - Barrans/Baldwin trail. Ascent from creek (third ascent) is a bit rocky and strenuous. It is a little easier if you reverse the direction of the hike. Each side of the upper loop have alternate side trails if you want variety. Betty's Pond (at the top end of the loop), unfortunately, is pretty much silted over. Yes, Betty was a real person. I knew her, and she was very sweet. The photo is from May, when the mountain laurels are in bloom.
