Emerald Desert
This year, the record rainfall in the Judean Desert has fallen over the past 10 years. Where, even a couple of months ago, there was a scorched desert, endless alpine meadows are now spread out. This bright emerald beauty will not last long. Therefore, I want in the middle of January to organize a spring hike through the hills and ravines.
The route will begin in the Bedouin tents near Kfar Adomim and end at the Almog gas station. I am going to go along the Sugar Route (Derekh Hasukar) through the top of Kibak Kutaef. Then, if the weather permits, go down the monastery paths to the ruins of the Deir Mukalek monastery in Nahal Og. Further through Nevi-Musa we will go to the Almog crossroad.
The Jahalin Bedouins will assist me in the campaign. Those who wish can spend the night from Friday to Saturday in the Bedouin village.
