Itinerary description
Great hike to an expansive viewpoint. I hiked on my own from a Trekking Union of Kyrgyzstan outing (www.tuk.kg). About 10 km from the end of the road there is a stream that is difficult to cross - at least in July/ August (my experience) - but you can go cross country up the prior valley and reach a great viewpoint. Due to time constraints, I stopped on the shoulder below the peak. Warmly recommended!
PS: I was hoping to go to the old Soviet weather station further up the vally, but the stream crossing was beyond me.
