This is the route of our annual and very leisurely group paddle down the Black River in West Quebec. It starts on a lake, then follows the river where we usually stop for swimming, visiting and eating on various sandbars. The river is popular for beginner canoeists: this stretch is accessible and easy, but the 10km upstream can be challenging, especially in the spring.
