If you are in this part of the work the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct is something that you really should see. Images don't really convey the reality, there is something very strange about canal boats crossing the river below via this very narrow aqueduct.

This walk runs along the Llangollen Canal, which is interesting in itself with many one boat wide sections and some views down to the Dee from the canal perched high on the hillside. Being along the Canal the walk is flat and level. At the end of the walk we looked at a few places to get a good view of the aqueduct and these did involve some up and down.

It is quite interesting watching people try and maneuver their boats around the 90 degree bend through a single boat wide bridge at the Llangollen end of the aqueduct.
