near Dafnes, East Macedonia and Thrace (Greece)
The approach to Vatos; one of the very beautiful and isolated beaches in Samothrace. Can be useful also to canyoneers willing to descend Vatos, Kousiada or Kremastos canyons. The path itself is really spectacular but also exposed. It is partially protected by wires (via ferrata) in corroded condition. It's the path that shepherds used long before the wires were placed (signs and wires were placed just before an international canyoning meeting that took place in Samothrace in 2008). Duration: 1 hour, but you have to have a head for heights.
