Ascent to Galdhøpiggen Peak, Norway's highest altitude and the entire Scandinavian Peninsula starting from the Spiterstulen Refuge, where we would end up spending the night at the end of the excursion.
It does not have any technical difficulty but it does require some physical form due to the unevenness to be saved. During the ascent to the granite giant we will observe glaciers almost in all directions but we really will not have to step on any, we will only go through some snowfield of a certain dimension in the vicinity of the peak (with the season well advanced as it was our case). The terrain has its beauty although the intermediate zone is a bit boring as it is a very large granite hill shredded by winter meteors. The upper part offers interesting views as the summit is surrounded by glaciers.
In this area, the weather can be an inconvenience. We were lucky and climbed a relatively good day.
I have created the route manually since the trip was made on August 10, 2010
