Challenge Ruwenzori Mountain-Bike Solidarity in favor of Kelele Africa - II Edition (2019)

Route:
*****
Queen Elizabeth National Park: from Mweya to The Queen's Pavilion.
Made on 01/16/2019.

Basic data:
***************
- Distance: 33.66 km.
- Positive slope: 507 m.
- Circular route: No

Description of the route:
***********************
One of the most beautiful routes of this edition of the Challenge in favor of Kelele Africa. After breakfast next to the Kazinga canal, we went with the bikes to the Queen's Pavilion.

After passing through the main gate of the park (“Kabatoro Gate”), we take a path that crosses the path we took yesterday to go to the salt lakes of Katwe. This area is greener, with lots of trees and a lake like the ones we have around the Kelele Lodge.

As we move forward, black clouds begin to appear in the sky and a kind of gale rise ... A summer storm of good times fell. Some climbed into the jeep to protect themselves and the bravest continued until they reached the Pavilion of the Queen, where there was a cafeteria to drink and get warm.

For some this was one of the most beautiful routes, and the rain added an epic touch.
