Hiking, biking, fishing, observing animals, star-gazing ... Bays Mountain offers everything! It is a park managed locally by family and the perfect place to spend a day with your family or friends. There are plenty of activities to enjoy and miles and miles of trails for hiking and mountain biking. The landscape is impressive, where there is a great educational project of nature for everyone.

Bays Mountain Park has more than 25 miles of hiking trails that cover most of the park's 3,500 acres. A relaxing walk on the lake or, for the more adventurous, make the walk to the fire tower. It does not matter where you go, as you come across the natural fauna and incredible scenery.

Habitats include shady forests, lagoons, streams, natural seeps, and rocky outcrops. Plants and animals typical of the Appalachians inhabiting the park, including deer, squirrels, raccoons, a variety
of bird species and many others.

My experience in the Park:
It has been a sensation of pleasure, tranquility and enjoyment that together with my son, we have been able to explore in an idyllic morning for the mtb, the autumn season has favored that the land meets the apogee of the fall of leaves in which It has let us see the paths with their usual splendor, hiding any doubt about their possible ups and downs, as well as the ease of seeing the journey in seconds, in favor I say that the impression has been very favorable, since for many miles it is cycled without touching any land, all accompanied by stunning views.
The orientation and rapport must be perfect since it depends on the success of the route, which I have been able to verify with my son, since it is the strong part of seeing this part of the Atlantic puddle, if he says it there, I there so that the result of the adventure came to a good end. The infinity of possibilities sometimes makes you think "where I am and if I have already passed through here", I start to think and I would not like to see myself in these latitudes at night, so it's time to snoop on the map to control the time back to the car.
I still think and my astonishment is great when by my latitude, most is dryness and nougat by the roads that we usually move, here is how to turn 180 degrees and become Rivers, springs and exaggerated foliage, all in an environment of nature without asphalt that it blackens its showiness in Autumn, the same in the Spring, it has to be another different and equally fabulous show.

With a few kilometers or miles you can analyze the essence of mtb, up, down with little llaneo and surrounded by a purely mountain environment, with the conclusion of a morning in which you rarely enjoy much, in a short time and a short space.
