near Mothar Mountain, Queensland (Australia)

Woondum Waterfall is a series of small waterfalls and rock pools in Woondum Forest approx. 20km east of Gympie. There is no formal trail to this spot so be prepared to do some bush bashing along the edge of the range to reach this lovely tranquil spot. We started our trek from a forest track at the end of Madill Rd. This track takes you up an easy to follow forest road which makes it way slowly, 300m up the range. Once you have travelled 4.3km you head off to the left and push through the bush approx. 150m until you reach this hidden gorge. You can spend hours following the creek bed either direction or just swim and relax before you return journey. This is a remote spot so please don't attempt unless you are an experienced bush walker.
