near Upton, England (United Kingdom)
Starting at "The George and Dragon" in Upton this walk takes in Blewbury and the edge of Chilton before completing the loop. It would be easy to enter Chilton and explore a bit, however, time was against me and so I didn't do this.
Blewbury has St Michael's Church and also some very nice thatched walls. At the time that I walked there was also a local scarecrow competition underway - some very interesting scarecrows were there and about.
The section of the walk between Blewbury and Chilton is less interesting, I was going to use the old railway cutting, with OSM indicated was a track, however this was totally unpassable in the cuttings. This means that a few dusy sections of road were involved.
Some areas of the walk are overgrown.
The path (right of way) from Chilton to Upton starts though someones garden (clearly marked and accessible), the main thing to remember is that you need to avoid dropping onto the old railway grade.
The start of the track was awash with water. This turned out to be a burst water mains that was under repair.
This is a bridge across the cutting.
