near Springbrook, Queensland (Australia)

Much to our disappointment we did this hike due to being turned back from reaching the Pinnanle on the Wirrie Circuit due to tree falls and apparent landslides left over from February Cyclonic conditions. The Wirrie Circuit is still closed! Instead we turned back to the Twin Falls Circuit and was very pleasantly surprised.

From Canyon Falls lookout take the trail right and follow the foot pad to cross Boy-ull Creek. This is the head of the Twin Falls which plummet a decent 50+meters.

You descend and zigzag through fallen boulder caves below cliffs to a distinct junction signed right for the Wirrie Circuit and Pinnacle or left to continue on the Twin Falls Circuit.

The cascades and waterholes are beautiful. With winter set in Springbrook was a chilly 10 degrees at 8am, passing under the waterfalls mist was very refreshing.

Upon following the circuit north and reaching atop the plateau, the headwaters of Blackfellow Falls is a nice sitting area to take in the surrounding valleys. The Pinnacle sits erect in the south-eastern skyline.

An easy walk.
