This is a well-signed track on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, starting from Delicia Road and following up to Thilba Thalba campground taking in some lookouts on the way before plunging fairly steeply into Gheerulla Valley.

From there is a fairly well-signed and maintained track up Gheerulla Creek to Gheerulla falls, before a short steep up to get back to Delicia Road.

Marking as 'moderate' because at 20.1km it is a significant undertaking for a day walk.

I would recommend starting this walk at the northern trail head. It adds a bit, but if you go anti-clockwise you start the hike with the climb up to the Thilba Thalba walkers camp. This puts the hard climb out of the way in the first hour and trades a steep descent for a pleasant walk through the woods back to your starting point.

Hi Jeff, I usually hike overseas in alpine areas and have not hiked much in Queensland. I saw this hike and it seemed very doable. I have completed a 25km hike in one day in Lake Como, which was very tough but enjoyable. How difficult is this hike to complete in one day for an experienced hiker? and where is the best place to park the car and start the hike.
    thanks, Debra
