Itinerary description

Update: 2-24-13 - it seems they improved the parking area and moved it a little further south. This map will take you to the old parking area, just go a little further to get to the new parking area, rest of tracks are the same.
This hike will take you to the observation tower located in the Three Forks Marsh Conservation Area/WMA. The actual hike is along mainly a road. We did see a variety of wildlife on the way out and back. The views from the tower are quite nice. Like many of the levee roads in the Three Forks Area, a bike might be a better way to go. There are miles and miles of levee roads to explore, doing them on foot presents quite a challenge. You are out in the open about 100% of the time, clouds providing your only shade! During the time I was there the area was only open certain days, so check with the visitors center or the Internet to verify dates.
