near Sixpenny Handley, England (United Kingdom)
Camping at Church Farm, Sixpeny Handley. From campsite we walked with a group for a while along a lane and left them to walk a ridge through a nature reserve woodland/bluebell wood. Lots of wood anemone, garlic, celendines and parasitic plant. Sat on a dead tree amongst the most magnificent bluebells we had ever seen in the centre of a hill fort. Walk continued through the woodland and over fields. There were many badger sets and close by one we saw claw marks in lumps of chalk. We saw a frightened fallow deer and a herd in a field. Back over fields before a few miles on lanes. Watched a red kite dancing in the thermals. Then over a field and back to the campsite. Weather was perfect.
