near Aïn ed Dâra, Mont-Liban (Lebanon)

Very nice loop starting near an abandoned army post where you can park. Leave soon the trail and walk on the ridge where you will have magnificent views of Metn area and lebanese coastline. Before the final ascent to the Cross, you will join the Berland route. Sannine Cross (2536 m) is not the highest point of Sannine massif. The true summit (2620 m) is more to the East. You can take the trail to get close to the summit but to reach it you have to go off-trail. BE CAREFUL! THERE ARE MINES IN THE AREA FROM THE CROSS TO MZAAR SUMMIT. Don't leave the trail at any time except to reach the summit (even this part may include mines?). For safety purposes, i don't recommend to leave the trail at any moment (the off-trail walk on the ridge from the south is safe). You can continue the loop without reaching the summit if you don't want to take any risk. The way back offers beautiful views of Bekaa valley.
