One drizzly Sunday morning we looked for a short route to stretch our legs. We decided to follow a route that posted jojonana1111 in Wikiloc. As we there went by car, and to make route shorter because of the rain, we went to the parking number 2 (there is room for about 4 cars). We did the route backwards in relation to what he published. We started by the sign Camino Sorroche. We liked the route. It is worth climbing up to Piñero Pine, but you must be careful when going down because of the loose stones. Since one of the group did not want to climb the hill we went around it by another path. From El Pino we follow the route until we reach the car again. There are interesting sights, some ruins along the way and some examples of Australian eucalyptus. To finish we went to the Venta Sorroche in Cala de Mijas, the same name of the route. It turns out that the owner's grandparents owned a piece of land through which the route runs. He was born there. So, this was an enjoyable day´s walking, although a little rainy. The food in the Venta Sorroche is good homemade food. Another thing! Looking at the different maps in Wikiloc, I see that there is a somewhat longer route to the west, starting from where Piñero Pine is, and returning to the same parking area. It seems like a route to explore.

Lovely route with very varied walking and scenery. Most of the route would be classified as easy however, the ascent/descent to the pino pinero was definitely not easy on the one side and for this reason, it has to be considered moderate overall. We didn't look for a route around the tree but, retrospectively, looking at a large scale map on our return, there appears to be a short route to the left of the tree when approaching it at the end of the walk and a longer one to the right of it. Next time we do this walk, and we will, we will walk it in the opposite direction and take one of the paths round the bottom.
