near Puerto de Santa Rosa, Guanajuato (Mexico)
Very nice hike though the woods and along the lake, mostly in the shadow of the trees and completely on unpaved trails and roads.
Down the trail to your left
You did it! Continue straight ahead.
Slight right over the meadow for the panoramic viewpoint. Keep on the gravel road to skip it.
Keep left for the nicer natural trail, but the gravel road is OK too.
You can see the Presa Peralillo from here.
Stay un the upper (left) path. The right one takes you down into the valley and to the lake as well, but over much steeper terrain.
Both options are ok. Right will take you down into the valley and you'll then follow a little stream. If you take the left one, as we did, you'll stay higher for longer.
Take the right path for the lake. The left will take you directly to the zip line.
Go right if you want to walk around the lake, left to keep on this side.
Turn right if you want to go back via gravel road. We'll keep on this side of the creek.
Here under the old oaks and densest shadow of the loop, this organism grows.
Was this a construction to collect water once?
We'll keep left and take a little detour to avoid a couple of aggressive dogs that use to be tied next to a house on the more direct path.
We go right and follow the creek.
Take a right turn here. Continue North.
Back on the track on which were started out.
