near Don Francisco, Guanajuato (Mexico)
This hike was inspired by a previous hike we did into the canyon leaving Don Francisco. This time around, we decided to walk up the same canyon, then take a right turn into another leg of the canyon instead of going to the left and walking out. For the first section, we stayed on the bottom and did lots of scampering across boulders and water crossings. Once we turned right, we took an upper trail that quickly turned into a bushwhacking. We decided to climb out and the climb was very steep, more vertical than not. We made it.
The view from the top was panoramic coming down. We could see the Picachos, and the mountains of Guanajuato and Leon.
We plan on going back for further exploration.
