The road to the startingpoint is no toll road. Startingpoint is at Eschachalm at 1211m. The route is done clockwise. You can eat and drink something at the Duitsitzkarsee at the Duitsitzkarhutte or Fahrlechhutte.
The route back from Duitsitzkarsee can be done over the road or off-road. The off-road trail is marked. We did a mix of these two.
Always take a backpack with the following items. Jacket and trousers for rain protection, first aid kit, extra shirt and socks, enough water, a fleece jacket , sunburn cream. An wear good shoes.
