Hike in Ambre Mountain National Park, observing animals and enjoying the greenery of this jungle island in the dry and deforested North of Madagascar. We managed to observe two species of lemur, ring-tailed mongoose and countless reptiles, including a boa and the smallest chameleon species in the world. After eating in the pleasant camping area we ascended to the mysterious and lonely lake of Maharasika.
With a good guide it is worth dedicating all day to the park and not just the usual visit of a couple of hours.

I did this trail with guide Dauphin and it was a wonderful experience! The waterfalls are spectacular and the vegetation is so lush. We ate a small lunch at the shore of the crater lake while listening to the sounds of birds and other creatures in the nearby forest. I saw a roly-poly bug (family Armadillidiidae) the size of a golf ball! Take time to contemplate the special nature here; this is the perfect trail to do so.
