near Mittenwald, Bayern (Deutschland)
I started from the Mittenwald station. Passing through the town of Mittenwald, visiting the Pfarrei St. Peter und Paul on the way, I reached the waterfall Lainbach-Wasserfall. As the path ahead was blocked, I had to retrace my steps and found another path to head for the Lautersee. Near the lake, I was met by the beautiful view of the petite church Kapelle Maria Königin and the surrounding mountains. At the lake, I had my lunch at Lautersee-Alm. After my lunch break, I walked along the shore of the lake before taking the path that would lead me to the Leutascher Geisterklamm. On my way, I visited Berggasthaus Ederkanzel, which was situated right at the border of Germany and Austria. After losing my bearing several times, I finally arrived at the Leutascher Geisterklamm. The view of gorge was absolutely stunning and when I finally walked past the gorge, I was on Germany soil again. I didn't make my way through the Wasserfallsteig, which would lead me to another waterfall, as I was quite tired at this point. After a little bit of rest, I made my way back to the Mittenwald station.
