The day hike up to Mirador Laguna Cerro Castillo was a long and steep slog, but the elevation change was pretty consistent that there are rarely any scrambling. Hiking sticks is recommended to help with the decent. The viewpoint of Cerro Castillo is well worth it and the continuous 180 views of the valley on the way up isn't bad either.
