near Triumph, Idaho (United States)

This is another pretty lake surrounded by impressive peaks. The hike is 5 miles one way, with 2200 feet of elevation gain. The trail is well maintained, but the last two miles are very steep.
The first three miles, until the second creek crossing, are mild. Actually, they could be covered by bike.
There are several creeks in the way. In late summer they were easy to get through. At times it may be necessary to wade through ankle-high water.
The trailhead is well developed -it gives access to other trails. It can be reached through a good gravel road, passable by all vehicles.
