near Mount Macedon, Victoria (Australia)

Moderate hike along the full loop of Mount Macedon. Taking into: Memorial Cross, The Camels Hump, Sanatorium Lake, Mount Towrong. Great views and overall a moderate hike. Pack for changing weather. Plenty of parking on Mount Macedon Road.

From 2KM - 4KM mark allow up to 1 1/2 hours for travel. Slow going, very steep.

If you have a heavy pack, you will feel the climb to the cross.

Approach to The Camels Hump is also steep but well worth the climb.

Heading down from Mount Towrong - Take care. Rocky descent, walking poles would be helpful. Slippery in sections when wet.

Pack for changing weather and high winds.

Great walk.. very step at first uphill, and extremely steep downhill rock track at the end. Well worth it! Loved seeing the cross across from mt turong how far we had came
