near Tideswell, England (United Kingdom)

This walk takes you first high over the rim of Cresswood Dale to the forest of Ravensdale cottages. There are steps helping you down into the dale. Passed the cottages through Cresswood Dale passing Peters Rock.
Here you could take a shortcut back to Litton through Tansley Dale, but you will miss the dramatic view looking into Cresswood Dale and Tansley Dale later on.
The walk gradually ascends to the A623 where you can visit the Three Stags Heads on week-ends.
Only a short walk over the road takes you to a footpath on the left and you follow the edge of Creesbook Dale on your left and you will be soon looking down (!) on Peters Rock.
At the end bear right and follow the edge of Tansley Dale as well back to Litton.
The Red Lion in Litton is a pretty old fashioned pub en restaurant.

After the steps take a right on the road. Follow the hairpin to the left where you will pass the Ravensdale cottages.
