near Estaing, Occitanie (France)

Starting from the south end of Lac Estaing..easy valley floor walk up to the small bridge of Pont de Piasi, after crossing enter the trees for steep climb ..trail easy to follow, as only one path After the trees you come out into valley steep on each side, path then becomes more rock .
after a few km you will see the Lac du Plaa Prat, follow to the left side and rocky path around until.flat valley floor with small refuge..perfect camping or picnic spot.
Just after the refuge there is another small bridge , cross this and now the path is not so easy to follow..look for the cairns and you will be ok..stay on the small paths ans this leads you to the Ruins de Liantran, not much left other than old walls and a small renovated hut.
Trails are hard to find ,so make your own way over the boulders and rocks, until reaching the Lacs de Liantran..maybee 4 or five..we then took the right hand path and kept going until the last false summit and here we found the last small lac...lunch place with no one around us..perfect .. return following any trail you can to the Lac Du Plaa Plat, after that the same trail back to Estaing
