The first job is to get to the tourist office to collect a brochure in which the whole route is described and that informs us very well of what we will see in the tour. At the same time, we will also see how to shorten or lengthen the route, according to our strengths and / or desire to walk.
Then we start at the center of the village and climb up to the church of San Anton (Sv. Antona), by asphalt. The church has a magnificent view of the valley and the village and is built on several floors made up of arcades with the names of the soldiers killed in this place.
We continue the route to go to the remains of the castle they say are the origin of Kobarid, the Tonocov Grad, which will also be the highest point of the route. We went down towards the Soča River and we arrived passing through the trenches made by the Italian soldiers during the First World War, excavated on the rock. During the tour, we also found holes dug in the rock that seemed to be refugees of the same war.
We cross the river and we go to a corner to see the waterfall Kozjak (Slap Kozjak), which is well worth the corner where it is and also the way it takes.
We go back to Kobarid where we enter the road crossing the Pont d'en Napoleon, because it seems that Napoleon spent with his troops.
