A lovely stomp around the Isle of Purbeck. I did stomp this quite strenuous route at quite a stomp so would advise 9 or 10 hrs to do it if you want to enjoy the views and stop for lunch. It could be shortened by missing out the out and back to Old Harry Rocks but on a sunny day I think it’s one of the highlights of this hike.
The coast path after Swanage can get very muddy and slippery for about 3 or 4 miles if it has been wet. I started the walk in the village of Kingston which is handy for me but Worth Matravers could also be a good option as it has a large car park £2. And the Square and Compass pub is a great place to get a beer and a pasty at the end.
Toilets and shop at 2 and 12 miles.
A water tap at Durlston Castle just before the globe.
Unlikely to have a phone signal for last 9 miles.
If you do do this hike I would love to hear feedback x
