near Pavlak (historical), Nevada (United States)
The town of Jarbidge Nevada (population + - 26) is pretty remote. We got there after a 3 hour drive from Elko, NV. The gravel road was in decent shape and we even saw a Mercedes along the road. The turnoff to the trail head is a passable 4 wheel drive road beyond the campground. The trail itself is beautiful and easy to follow. One winds in and out of aspens and pine forests all the way up to the rocky alpine crest. This trail leads up to where the 10,000+ summits are, so there are great views of the peaks and valleys. We saw nobody else on trip.
