near Atlanta, Idaho (United States)

The trail out of Atlanta starts at the Powerplant Trailhead (and campground). The hike up the valley is pleasant and green, and you’ll walk along the Middle Fork of the Boise River all the way up the valley. After a while ascending there is a good spot that will provide fantastic panoramic views down the valley. Lots of side creeks will be good watersources. One of the crossings was a bit challenging due to high snow year/ early season/ snow melt (doesn’t look all that bad from the photo, but it was flowing quite fast)
