A walk highly recommended with around 90% unpaved paths in a wonderful hiking area near Afferden.
There is a great variety of landscapes to enjoy (woods, moorland, meadows, brookland, a golf links area, shrubs and bushes along a brook, riverdune area etc.) together with highlights such as a viewing platform with a 360 degrees panorama to appreciate, the remains of a castle in a scenic location, a corn mill, a herd of long-haired goats (with curled horns) and two extensive fen areas: Zevenboomseven and Quin.
The final stretch is also a pleasant surprise, along a narrow meandering path following a brook called Eckelsebeek.
All in all, much to relish on this pleasant 11.5 km trail that can be done in any season.
Easy parking next to a cafe restaurant.
