near Haïtoura, Liban-Sud (Lebanon)

Amazing trail which combine pine and oak forests, agricultural terraces, river crossings and stunning views.

The hike alternate sections on the asphalt, forest trails and agricultural roads. Mostly downhill. Route finding skills required. A machete is also useful as in some sections nature had reclaimed its rights.

The hike starts at the church of Haytoura, crosses Maknouniyi, Kaytouli, Homsieh, the abandoned village of Roum, and ends at the church of Rimat. Bonus: the small shop next to the church in Rimat where we could quench our thirst with cold Pepsi and water.
