The Grant Flatwoods Sanctuary is made up of 2,260 acres, mostly just scrub pines and palmettos. This is just a look at my tracks the day I went to the sanctuary. Some of the wandering was on old dirt roads while other was following many of the game trails which crisscross the sanctuary. Did see some songbirds and a bald eagle, but other wildlife avoided me. I only found one flower this day. It was very dry when I was there, but I'm told that during wet times much of the sanctuary is underwater. My understanding is that horses and biking are allowed in this sanctuary.
