near Bentveld, Noord-Holland (Nederland)
This is how the dunes near Zandvoort are promoted !
And yes, plenty of variations to any trails here are possible in this area of outstanding natural beauty.
You don’t need a guide to walk in the Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen. All you need is an entrance ticket. Day passes (at 1 euro 50 per person) can be bought at the three entrances to the area, as well as parking tickets (2 euros per day).
This walk starts from the entrance along Zandvoortselaan 130 (just next to restaurant De Duinrand), in between Zandvoort and Bentveld. As you can see you can also start this walk from "De Oase" entrance near the Oranjekom visitor centre (see waypoint).
This day I came eye to eye with at least 50 fallow deer and saw great numbers of cormorants towards the end of the walk, near a lake.
Within the first kilometer of the walk you can also come across the old bunkers from World War II which today offer homes to bats.

And with plenty of benches to take a break, you're bound to have a wonderful and relaxing day out here.
