Coomera circuit, 90’s throwback to the famous lyric by TLC ‘don’t go chasing waterfalls, stick to the rivers and the lakes that your used to’. For this reason I don’t use TLC as my hiking bible.
The walk is water fall after waterfall, after creek, after waterfall. And it’s worth it!
If anything the walk was almost too beautiful, with many short extra strolls to see breathtaking views and aquatic wonderlands. You can do a as many extra few hundred meters for these to see different falls, or make your walk shorter by sticking to the main track.
It’s Binna Burra, so you start on the same trail as most start from, but then veer right at the sign. I would recommend anticlockwise to get the elevation out of the way while your still fresh as it’s a long hike.
If you did it clockwise, however, you would be treated to some impressive afternoon sundown over a massive ravine looking down over a waterfall. If I did it this way I would bring a head torch just in case.
Note: could have brought less water to reduce pack weight and filled up at one of the water crossings and treated.
