Clent Hills Country Park Circular Pub Walk
The Clent Hills are only ten miles from Birmingham City Centre. The hills consist of Walton, Wychbury and Calcot Hill.
Popular with walkers and locals alike, the hills provide stunning views in all directions. You will not be disappointed!
Our walk begins at the car park at Walton Hill Lane. We immediately climb uphill to a trig point providing great views of Birmingham and we think, the Malverns in the distance. From here we descend into a wooded area to Dark Pool and then climb back up Nags Hill for more fantastic views. Leaving the woods, we make our way to The Vine public house via a church and a quiet village.
The pub serves good-value, quality food and real ales as well as country wines; it has a lovely garden and patio area.
Back to the walk and back uphill, we wind our way down to another pub, The Hill Tavern, again serving food.
From here we make our way up to the Four Stones, which turn out not to be ancient, but are actually a folly. There are fantastic views again of the Black Country, before heading back to the car park via a path through more wooded area, then an easy lane walk.

Note from Walkingworld: this is a Moderate-graded walk through woodland, which means walkers will require reasonable navigational skills. We'd recommend a compass or GPS to aid navigation through any wooded area. Always take a map with you.
This is a dog-friendly walk with only the one stile to climb.
