near Whittington, England (United Kingdom)

A lovely undulating walk that passes through the villages of Whittington Sevenhampton, Brockhampton and finally Charlton Abbotts. There are several points of interest along the route and some fabulous views particularly towards the end of the walk.

The Craven Arms, a 16th Century traditional Inn may be a good place to stop for refreshment, I believe it was the only pub along the route. Alternatively, there are various seats in the villages and churches.

You will also pass Belas Knap, a fine example of a Neolithic long barrow, with a false entrance and side chambers. Excavated in 1863 and 1865, the remains of 31 people were found in the chambers. The barrow has since been restored and worth spending 10 minutes to take a look.
