Bow lake (Bow Lake)

[ENG]
Linear round trip from Bow Lake to the downstream of the waterfall where the Wapta glacier ends. The route does not involve great difficulty, neither physical nor technical.

The route runs along a fairly flat path around the lake until you reach a first narrowing. Then another alluvial valley opens up to a narrow canyon where the river roars bravery. Finally, another valley is opened where the glacial meltwater precipitates.

NOTE: The whole route is subject to 1) the level of the lake and 2) to the level and strength of the river. Do not cross the river if its dangerous, so it is precisely the latter that can condition the route, as well as several streams that are going to juntion. We do not recommend doing the route if the water levels are high.

Bow Lake (upper area)

[IS]
Linear round trip from Bow Lake to the foot of the waterfall where the Wapta glacier dies. The route does not involve great difficulty, neither physical nor technical.

The route runs along a fairly flat path around the lake until you reach a first narrowing. Then another alluvial valley opens up to a narrow canyon where the river roars bravo. Finally, another valley opens up where at the end there is a cliff where the glacial meltwater precipitates.

NOTE : The whole route is subject to 1) the level of the lake and 2) to the level and strength of the river. In no case do you have to cross the river, but it is precisely the latter that can condition the route, as well as several streams that are going to die. We do not recommend doing the route if the water levels are high.
